Rapp Song

This song is a fun way to explore our diversity and our oneness.  The many different languages in the world supply an endless diversity of phrases that all say "hello".  The playful juxtaposition of same and different helps children understand that there is always more than one way to do a thing and that there is always so much to learn from others./p>

Rapp Song - Tootsie Pops

"We all look different, but we're all the same."

ToostiePops
Materials: Chocolate-centered tootsie pops & photos of multi-cultural groups of people.

Hold up "Pops" of different colors.

Ask: "How are they the same?"  "They are good.  They are sweet.  They have the same center."

Ask: "How are they different?"  "They have different flavors, different colors."

Show a photo or painting of a multicultural group and ask the students the same questions...

Then ask:  "If this lollipop were a person, what would the center be?"  "A heart, soul, spirit..."

Share the lollipop treat!
